Born under the Northern mists, Luc Coadou, just like the Renaissance Flemish masters, easily switches from the role of singer to the role of music director with a constant care about pedagogy and musicological research. We can find a particular interest for early music in his academic work - he is the author of research articles on the lyrical theatre during the French revolution. With Les Voix animées, Luc Coadou explores the vast repertoire of a cappella vocal music and especially that of Renaissance polyphony. Besides being the music director of Les Voix Animées, he is the artistic director of L’Opéra au Village. He has conducted, among others, Mozart’s Requiem and Great Mass in C minor, Monteverdi’s Vespro della Beata Vergine, Purcell’s Dido, Haendel’s Messiah, Boieldieu’s Caliph of Baghdad, Weber’s Abu Hassan, Chabrier’s Fish-ton-Kan, Offenbach’s La Belle Hélène, Bataclan, Vent du Soir and La Bonne d’enfant, Pauline Viardot’s Cendrillon and Le Dernier Sorcier, Bizet’s Djamileh. Philémon and Baucis by Charles Gounod, La Servante Maîtresse by Pergolese, Le Tableau parlant by Grétry, Les Pantins de Violette by Adolphe Adam, Deux Vieilles Gardes by Léo Delibes & Faust en ménage by Claude Ter. He also created pieces by Tristan-Patrice Challulau and, Gérard Garcin, Karol Beffa, Dimitri Tchesnokov, Jean-Michel Bossini and by Tomas Bordalejo & Léo Collin. Baritone, Luc Coadou started his career as an altar boy in the Manécanterie of Dunkerque Les Rossignolets. He studied singing in Lille, and improved his technique with Rachel Yakar and René Jacobs at the Studio Versailles-Opéra. From then, he started singing with several ensembles such as La Chapelle Royale (Philippe Herreweghe), Les Arts Florissants (William Christie), Les Musiciens du Louvre (Marc Minkowski), Les Talens Lyriques (Christophe Rousset), Le Parlement de Musique (Martin Gester), La Grande Ecurie and La Chambre du Roy (Jean-Claude Magloire), Le Concert Spiriturel (Hervé Niquet)… From medieval music to contemporary creation, his work is a mix of musical research and eclecticism. Luc Coadou has performed in prestigious festivals and in famous theatres such as the festivals of Aix-en-Provence, Salzbourg, Ambronay, the Berlioz festival in La Côte Saint-André, Saintes, Chaise-Dieu, Turku, the Theatre des Champs Elysées, at the Opéra comique of Paris, at Sao Carlo of Lisbon, at the Brooklin Academy of Music of New-York, at the Royal Albert Hall and at the Barbican Center of London, at the Theater an der Wien and Konzerthaus-Mozart of Vienna, at the Concertgebouw of Amsterdam, at the Semperoper of Dresde, at the Opéra de Liège, at the Opéra d'Anvers, at the Opéra de Lille, at the Opéra de Lyon, at the Opéra de Rennes, at the Opéra de Bordeaux, at the Opéra de Nancy, at the Opéra and Arsenal de Metz, at the Opéra du Rhin, at the Opéra d'Angers, at the Palau de la Mùsica Barcelone, at L’Atelier Lyrique de Tourcoing... After ten years of teaching at the Conservatoire of Caen, he has been teaching since the year 2000 at the Music Conservatoire of Toulon Provence Méditerranée. He has been invited by the CNSM Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Lyon for masterclasses dedicated to the Renaissance polyphony.

Dame Sterenn


After graduating from Caen conservatory of Music, where she obtained a first prize in piano, chamber music and composition at the age of 17, and then from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris, where she followed an advanced programme in academic studies and composition, Sterenn, finally realised that her true passion was classical singing, and that she wanted to express herself with her voice. In Paris, she studied first with Nicole Fallien and Anne-Marguerite Werster, and then with Laure Florentin, Monique Zanetti and J.Louis Deveze at Aix-en-Provence conservatory, where she graduated in 2015. On stage, she was "Pauline" in Offenbach's La Vie Parisienne, "Sangaride" in Atys by Lully, at the Greek National Opera in Athens, "Anna Duyret" in L'Expérience, a contemporary opera, at the Théâtre du Rond-Point in Paris, "Bastienne" in Mozart's early opera Bastien and Bastienne, and the "first witch" in Didon and Enea by Purcell. Sterenn also regulary performs as a soloist in Oratorios : Cantatas, Christmas Oratorio by J.S. Bach, Requiem by Fauré, Midnight Mass, Te Deum by G.Charpentier, The Messiah by G.F. Haendel...

Dame Camille

She began her music studies on the oboe with Éric Mège at the Nice Conservatory in 1999. She sang in several children's operas, studied singing with Pierre Capelle and was awarded a top level distinction at the end of her early studies. In September 2009 she was admitted to the Lyon Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Danse (CNSMD), where she studied oboe with Jean-Louis Capezzali and Jérôme Guichard. Dame Camille


She began her music studies on the oboe with Éric Mège at the Nice Conservatory in 1999. In September 2009 she was admitted to the Lyon Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Danse (CNSMD), where she studied oboe with Jean-Louis Capezzali and Jérôme Guichard. In 2012 she was appointed principal oboist of the Orchestre des Pays de Savoie, conducted by Nicolas Chalvin and completed her oboe studies, obtaining a master's diploma, also with first class honours. Meanwhile her love of singing had grown even stronger and by this time she had already joined the early music department of the Lyon CNSMD to study singing with Marie-Claude Vallin. This course naturally focused on the repertoire of the medieval, Renaissance and baroque periods. She was awarded a bachelor's diploma in early music singing in June 2015, again with first class honours, and decided to focus exclusively on singing. Camille Joutard sings with Les Voix Animées, an ensemble conducted by Luc Coadou, Capella Sanctae Crucis, conducted by Tiago Simas Freire and Alkymia, conducted by Mariana Delgadillo-Espinoza.

Dotée d’une oreille supersonique, elle rejoue inlassablement du bout de ses petits doigts ses comptines favorites, les génériques de ses émissions télévisées préférées, et les grands airs de la musique classique qu’elle découvre avec émerveillement. Totalement accroc à son 33 tours Le Soulier qui vole, la petite Laurence rêve de décoller elle aussi au pays de la chanson pour enfants, à l’instar de son étoile Marie-Rose ! C’est ainsi qu’elle se lance, après quelques années de piano et de chant au Conservatoire, dans l’univers du spectacle jeune public, en créant le rôle d’une héroïne pétillante et aventurière, tout en participant activement à la conception et à la production de spectacles musicaux (paroles des chansons, costumes, décors, supports de communication...). Après ce premier voyage intersidéral, elle se découvre une nouvelle passion, le chant en chœur, et se perfectionne dans la polyphonie Renaissance aux côtés de Luc Coadou, avec qui elle crée Les Voix Animées en 2009. Ensemble, ils se lancent à la quête de l’harmonie absolue, et repoussent les limites de la réalité en voyageant, grâce à leurs web-séries, à travers le temps et l’espace…

Eymeric Mosca has been heard in many oratorios (Campra’s Messe des Morts, Charpentier and Saint-Saëns’ messes de minuit, Bach cantatas…), lyric works (Strauss, Bossini, Aboulker, Offenbach), and in recital, singing repertoires from Middle Ages (especially with « Le Jardin des Délices ») to 21st century. He is a composer and an arranger too, he works since 2012 with the vocal ensemble « Les Voix Animées », with which he sings in concert, but also on stage.

Maître Damien


After graduating with a degree in musicology, Damien Roquetty studied voice at the Conservatoire of Aix-en-Provence with Laure Florentin.  Passionate about early music, he joined the Centre de Musique Baroque de Versailles where he worked with Viviane Durand then Isabelle Desrochers and got a final degree (DEM). He studied with Christine Schweitzer, Alain Buet, Maarten Koningsberger et Stephan Van Dyck during some masterclasses. He also took part in the Academy of Early Music in Le Thoronet led by Dominique Vellard, in the Fonti e Memorie Academy based on improvisation and ornamentation in early music led by Jean Tubéry and in the Academy of the Festival du Périgord Noir (Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme by Molière and Lully) led by Michel Laplénie. In the CRR of Tours, he studied the medieval and Renaissance repertoire with Véronique Bourin, Jean-Paul Rigaud and Denis Raisin-Dadre. He has sung with Les Talents Lyriques, le Parlement de Musique, la Cappella Genevensis and recorded some music with les Festes d’Orphées and la Dolce Maniera. He worked on some contemporary creations and musical theatre with Soli-Tutti. With Les Voix Animées, he now explores a cappella polyphony from Renaissance to today. He also works with composer and multi-instrumentalist Etienne Champollion, with whom he wanders in several musical styles, between creation, art repertoire and popular music.

En 1995, à l’Opéra de Nancy, il met en scène Embûches de Noël, pasticcio d’opérettes dont il co-écrit le livret avec Denis Baronnet. En 1996, toujours à l’Opéra de Nancy, il met en scène Macbeth de Verdi qui sera repris au Grand Théâtre de Tours et à l’Opéra Royal de Wallonie. Parmi les ouvrages qu’il a mis en scène, La Clemenza di Tito (Opéra-Théâtre de Saint-Etienne, 1998), Carmen (Grand Théâtre de Tours, 2000), Paillasse (Opéra-Théâtre de Saint-Etienne, 2002), La Bohème (Grand Théâtre de Genève 2003 et Opéra de Bilbao 2004), L’Enlèvement au Sérail à l’Opéra-Théâtre de Saint-Etienne (2007), Roméo et Juliette de Gounod au Grand Théâtre de Tours (2006), à l’Opéra de Toulon (2008) et à l’Opéra-Théâtre de Saint-Etienne (2009), Samson et Dalila à l’Opéra-Théâtre de Saint-Etienne (2008). Depuis 2009, il assure les mises en espace et en lumières des Leçons d’Opéra de Jean-François Zygel au Théâtre du Châtelet à Paris. En 2011, il met en scène Les Voix animées dans le spectacle musical Drôles d’Oiseaux !  En 2013, leur collaboration se poursuit, il les met en scène dans le ciné-concert Charot, Octave & Bobine, puis écrit et réalise la web-série mensuelle La vidéo de promotion des VoiZ’Animées, avec Denis Baronnet.
