Dame Camille
She began her music studies on the oboe with Éric Mège at the Nice Conservatory in 1999. She sang in several children's operas, studied singing with Pierre Capelle and was awarded a top level distinction at the end of her early studies. In September 2009 she was admitted to the Lyon Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Danse (CNSMD), where she studied oboe with Jean-Louis Capezzali and Jérôme Guichard. In 2012 she was appointed principal oboist of the Orchestre des Pays de Savoie, conducted by Nicolas Chalvin and completed her oboe studies, obtaining a master's diploma, also with first class honours. Meanwhile her love of singing had grown even stronger and by this time she had already joined the early music department of the Lyon CNSMD to study singing with Marie-Claude Vallin. This course naturally focused on the repertoire of the medieval, Renaissance and baroque periods. She was awarded a bachelor's diploma in early music singing in June 2015, again with first class honours, and decided to focus exclusively on singing. Camille Joutard sings with Les Voix Animées, an ensemble conducted by Luc Coadou, Capella Sanctae Crucis, conducted by Tiago Simas Freire and Alkymia, conducted by Mariana Delgadillo-Espinoza.
